2012 BAT NEWS AND
RULES
USA Baseball,
by an act of Congress decades ago, is the governing body over
amateur baseball within the nation. At this year's national
meeting in Anaheim, CA. January 4-8, USA Baseball and the American
Baseball Coaches Association made recommendations to bat
manufacturers for youth baseball bat specifications
effective in 2013. The BBCOR standards will apply to
high school and collegiate bats in 2012.
For 2012, and
with composite bats emerging on the national market, a majority of
youth baseball organizations (including Super Series) have
endorsed the BPF 1.15 standards (Bat Performance Factor)
for 2012. Click the link below for printable

2012 NYBC CHANGING
& EXPANDING?
The 2012
National Youth Baseball Championships may be changing.
For the past four years, 10U and 12U national champions from
eight organizations advanced to a nationally televised
"tournament of champions" in Memphis, Tennessee. While
this event will continue, the ages offered are being discussed,
and changes in the total number of teams may expand. In
addition, the television network carrying the event may also
possibly change.
Discussions
are underway about possibly doubling the number of teams
included in the tournament.
As soon as
all details are released to us, we will build a detailed web
page for information regarding this event.

2012 Super Series
World Series News:
Super Series
is still in negotiations with a variety of facilities for
hosting the 2012 World Series events.
Our 2012
National Championships may also expand. It's possible that
we may add more than one championship, to qualify teams for the
NYBC in Memphis.
At present,
we will maintain our 2012 National Championship events in
Burleson, Texas, which are scheduled to begin on June
23rd. This event is open to all Super Series teams,
regardless of classification, from any state in the nation.
This is also the event where teams can win an expense-paid berth
in the NYBC. We may be adding a second championship event
either in the East, or the West. And, we may be offering TWO
berths in the NYBC for our National Champs.
Our World
Series events for Triple-A (American) and Minors
teams is partially scheduled. We are certain some
events will commence in Round Rock, Texas on July 14th.
It is possible a second event will yet be added. We hope
to have our final event schedules set no later than the end of
this month.

CLASSIFICATION
NAMES CHANGE
In case you haven't
noticed, the names of our three classifications have changed.
Our former "National" division is now known as our "Majors"
division. The "American Division is now "Triple-A."
Our "Minors Division" remains unchanged. The reason for
the name changes are so that teams in new areas of the nation
can associate, and understand, our classifications more quickly
in our new growth areas of the nation.

2012 SUPER SERIES
RULES COMING
The 2012
Super Series rules are currently being reviewed and editted.
Our 2012 rules will be available online shortly (prior to the
end of this month) on our web site. Our 2012
printed rule books will be available in early February (as
in past years).
There will be
a few significant changes including bat rules, roster changes
prior to May 15th, and our divisional titles.
